能再详细解释一下这个问题的可能原因和部位吗?这个问题可以自己修理吗?齿轮油为什么要从下往上注?从上往下可以吗?

gear casing 因碰撞或油中水份冬天冰化膨脹產生裂逢也會導致進水..
油中水份引耒不正常引擎聲響不太可能...机會是水泵impeller可能破斕(察看出水是否正常得知), 軸承,齒輪破斕等等亦會是成因..
如Lz提議, 在情況惡化前最好交mechanic檢修..

加油孔在gear case 最底部, 加油時油會將內裡空氣逐漸向上排出, 當油在上面的bleeding hole 滿溢時正代表內裡空氣巳全被排出做就最理想工作條件...
假如由上面bleeding hole 處注油, 空氣被排清的机會不大...事實上, 孔小油厚, 缺排氣通道, 進不了多少...

It is tough fishing now anyway. I only caught 2 keeper in 3 hours on the boat, however, my location selection is semi-correct. Both were in less than 5 feet of water, one in lily pad on Dinger, one in wind blow bank on crankbait.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, I thought you want to know how fishing is now days.

I am interested in the topic of boating too. Doing all the maintenance myself, I am following the thread closely. Agree with what you said. One suggestion, you guys may want to try using Sea-Form to decarb your outboard engine once a year.

乳白色是典型水溝油現象, 大概是prop shaft seal 曰久損毀所致...放油后要立即注滿, 否則內裡空氣水份會令零件生銹..

我不是Mechanic。我从图上看不出来有啥问题。以我看，有3种可能：

1。从新注油再试试。如一切恢复正常，you are lucky man, just keep an eye on it.
2。Lower Unit 需要Reseal。
3。如Engine 有不正常的迹象，（转速/温度）有可能Gasket 坏了。Engine rebuild maybe neccessary.

Fishing lines are seal eaters...the outer seal looks gone in the 3rd pic., that's why water has been sneaking into the gear case.
You'd need the service manual to start with...but then again some tools are in order...better take it to the mechanic IMHO
