值得欣慰的是,我们区的Alex Cullen被换下来了。
我没看错吧Alex Cullen下台了? 很好的消息

Voters in Bay ward don't like turncoats.
Alex Cullen, who dropped out of the mayor's race in the middle of the campaign, has now also lost his council seat after returning for another run in Bay.
Instead, voters elected newcomer Mark Taylor Ñ a former political aide to Jim Watson who billed himself as a consensus-builder throughout the campaign.
Asked if that's going to help him succeed around the council table, the 39-year-old said, "it couldn't hurt."
He sees himself as more of a fiscal conservative than the mayor-elect.
Taylor arrived at election night headquuarters Ñ Shoeless Joe's restaurant Ñ around 9:15 p.m. to a thunderous ovation.
That paled in comparison to the scene at Cullen's camp Ñ perhaps even if the incumbent had won.
Cullen trailed all evening, starting when the first results came in at 8:09 p.m.
By the time a third of the polls had reported, Cullen addressed the small crowd, admitting he was behind.
The room fell to silence and never recovered.
By 8:45, it was clear Cullen's ride was over, though he characterized it to the 40-some in attendance as Taylor being "slightly ahead of me."
By 9 p.m., Cullen had admitted defeat.
"It looks to me like Mark Taylor will be the new councillor for Bay ward," he said.
Cullen also admitted that his switching campaigns cost him in Bay. But he insisted there wasn't a voter backlash. Rather, Cullen said he simply didn't have time to catch up with the progress of other candidates.
Taylor said he did hear talk of a backlash, but argued that in the end, Bay voters wanted a change.
ÔWanted a fresh face'
"People wanted an alternative to Alex," said Taylor. "His reversal didn't help, but people wanted a fresh face Ñ even those who still love Alex."
Cullen initially jumped into the mayoral race, eventually withdrawing much to the chagrin of Greg Ross, the candidate he endorsed. Ross later withdrew from the race.
Cullen first ran for city council in 1988 in Richmond ward, but lost to Jackie Holzman. He succeeded her in 1991 when she ran for mayor.
In 1997, Cullen was elected as a Liberal MPP in a byelection in Ottawa West. In 1999, he lost to Rick Chiarelli in a nomination fight and defected to the NDP, but lost in the subsequent election.
