人不多的话, 4卧式的挺大气(楼上).
还可以把卫生间都变成private. + You already have a den on the main floor as reading room.
DW is on 1st floor. Some like it, some not.
Basement space is separated by mechanical area and thus does not seem spatial.
The kitchen and the family room have enough space and sun, which is good. However the living room is on its own and thus will not be useful.
The dining room and kitchen room is separate by a drywall. It would be better if there is a door between them.
You may talk to the sales lady to see if there is a Palermo being built so that you could go there have a look.

We did not buy Mendocino.
Elevation B looks beautiful from outside. However, we did not like the floor plan on the first floor especially-the family room and living room are not wide enough.
Master bedroom is sunny, but no privacy if facing the backyards of other houses.
The kitchen is big especially if the island is deleted.
For 35ft lot. sapphire is very popular model so far, and we bought that model.

Kanata lake Phase 4 Lot 119 is a Pamerlo model under construction (about 60% complete). You can contact Kanata Lakes Sales Office to see whether they will allow you to view the house (I guess very unlikely). Or you can simply slip in the house when the contractors are not on site. However sometimes the contractors lock the house so don't blame me if you cannot get in after a long drive from Riverside South to Kanata Lakes. 
I was pondering between Palermo and Solana and eventually chose Solana. In my opinion following are some good features of Palermo:
Better exterior design (Compared to Solana)
Elegant open to above space in Family room.
Double front door
Good size Family room (Compared to Solana)
Something I don't like about Palermo model:
A few rooms in 2nd floor are very irregular (Bedroom 3 and 4, walk-in closet in Master, Master Ensuite, etc)
Laundry/Mud Room is unnecessarily big (kind of waste of space)
In addition, one of my friend who bought a Palermo in Riverside South told me that the open to above space in Family Room is both a pro and a con because the noise in the family room may affect people in 2nd floor bedrooms.

there is a menlo park (which is palermo on a 50' lot), you can book an appointment with the agent to see it.
we were considering buying a menlo park with these modifications:
extend kitchen (it is so so small...)
close up family room (i am not fan of open to above family room)
add a second ensuite on the second floor

sorry for the distraction but since we're talking about Urbandale models I'd like to add one more model for discussion. What do you think about Rovelstoke? We felt this model is an newer design compared to Menlo Park or Palermo which we believe have been around for likely 10 years.
Overall, we think Rovelstoke is more open. Two story living room sided by stairs gives you more open to above space. From dinning room you can see the living room window because open stairs. And Kitchen and Family together feel a lot of space too.
However, missing kitchen cabinet is a killer to us, and only 2 bathroom on 2nd floor is a big problem for this price house.
This model is of the same price as Menlo Park 2 car, but there is only 1 or 2 house built in Kizonell Pond while Menlo Park can be seen a lot. I guess that's a sign of people's preference. That makes us struggling with resale issue.
