大部分是对方的原因，让对方设置好encoding before seng the email out if it is plain text.

how about changing the encode setting on the receiving side first when open/read the mail.

BTW, menu guide: View->Encoding->Chinese Simpilied(GB2312). Try enough times with your wild guesses when don't know the exact encoding schema. Please remember giving up and reference the above reply once more

To be clear, there are several encoding schema for Chinese. Try them.
