No, it is not right to deprive descendants of the female side of Indian citizenship. Indian women should fight for that. But the dis-refutable fact is they did have woman prime minister and that alone was a breakthrough for womanhood.
I hope people in this forum do not underestimate the potential of India. To me, what impedes their growth is their antiquated caste system.
Going back to the question of the case for or against dual citizenship: really, there is no good data or analysis to back up either choice. Everyone here voices his/her opinion based on emotion or some gut feeling.
I think what China is afraid of is those 'citizens' overseas, if dual citizenship is allowed, may exert too much of an influence on those citizens in China by knowing too much. China cannot impose censorship/news blackout on those citizens and thereby lose the tight control they like to have.
