用过Green Bin的，效果怎么样？

就算是有了利润，市政府还有很多其他的用钱的地方呢。如果不需要我们纳税人交钱，那么经查证后，应该降低我们的税率。发东西，我是不赞成的，浪费太多。

夏天发生过几次蛆的问题以后我们就暂停使用了，天气凉下来又开始用了。

家里的垃圾大量减少，通常我都要到星期四晚上（我家星期五收垃圾）才开始往垃圾桶里面放两袋（购物塑料袋）垃圾

You forget to mention that the contract itself is $300 million for 20 years. If we don't have enough to recycle we have to pay more on top of that.

So people like 南极找南难 should start recycling so we don't have to pay for more and more.

Recycling is not only for the future generation but for us too, as well as significant financial gain.

Do you mean we, the tax payers, have to pay more for the stupid contract for 20 years if the waste is less than 80,000 tonnes per year?

Here is a direct quote for a Ottawa Sun reader

The city has misrepresented the green bin program from the start. Now they continue the lies.
53000 tonnes includes the yard waste , which are paying for in a seperate program.
The program managed to collect more than 50% but needed the yard waste to get that high.
The green bin raised the diversion rate 9% , from 32 to 41%. So for almost $300 Million over 20 years the city will get about 15% (80,000 tonnes) of the dump diverted. The dump lasts more than 20 years and costs less than $150 Million to replace and deals with 100% of what was going there.
To make matters worse the harmful stuff, the non biodegradeable things, are still going to the dump.
The city took the easy road to "sell " the idea we are enviromentally friendly.
