[FONT=仿宋体]I've been there recently. Shanghai airport is pretty good in my opinion. Nice building, reasonably clean, nice washroom (with toilet paper), free drinking water (paper cups), luggage service is fine, food/drink are ok, lots of small stores to buy things you like, airport staff is easy to find for inquiry, and they all speak Mandarin instead of Shanghai dialect.
Now about bringing your laptop.
- You can watch your own movies, play your own games, etc. Power socket was available on the airplane (in my case, Air Canada) to charge your laptop.
- Wireless internet access (wifi) is only available in the "secured zone" (i.e. the area after you passed security check and wait for boarding). I also found some power-charging sockets in this waiting area, which can be used to charge laptop as well. They are sparsely located beside some waiting chairs, 220v though, make sure your laptop adapter can work within 110-220V.
- Outside "secured zone", no wireless internet as far as I know. There's a Business Service room, however, that you can do copy/fax, and you can also pay to do wired internet access (in that room).
By the way, unless you use a wall-climb technique/tool, CFC website's usually blocked and you won't be able to access.
