[必看] 大家看了4月2和3号的National Post吗

Apr 2, the article "China has risked the world's health" was written by Thomas, he attacked chinese government with respect of chinese communist party, politics and hiding the real situation of SARS in China. Apr 3, the article "SARS in China" was written by David Lee, he expressed the same opinion as Thomas.

Do all you guys think that we need to fight with national post for publishing these two articles?

Of course you can write to National Post to express opinions.

But I think Chinese governement actually did wrong on this. I am from Guangdong, I heard this (SARS) had caused many deaths in Guangzhou late last year. People strived to buy 10 folded price "vanegar" to prevent. Unfornately in the first 2 month of this year (Chinese new year). No offcial prevention means have been used. No official announcement to control the source like what Hongkong, Canada did. Patients can go wherever they want.

Imagine millions of people commute between Guangdong and Hongkong. There is NO surprise for Hongkong suffering SARS.

CCP only wants "stable". They have a long way to go to respect their people. You see, all the countries are seeing China as unresponsible SARS source. Trip and order will be cancelled. There will be huge price paid for SARS.

I wish it won't affect 2008 Olympic.

前天温总理才召开工作会议商量这个事情
昨天WHO专家组才到广东（卫生部长居然在新闻发布会上称专家组曾经来过北京调查情况，了解了情况之后就没有去广东了！我见到这个消息真想抽丫一耳光）
而第一个病历是去年11月份出现的，广州在惊险万分中度过了整个冬天

再说一点：
很幸运，这个病发生在广东，然后才能顺利传播出来(用这样的词语很心酸），很难想象，如果这件事情发生在内地，不知道要付出什么样的代价.

无所谓了，CTV昨天由发自北京的记者站在街头说大部分中国人还不知道这病，真是无耻，如果他随便问几个走过的中国人，谁不知道非典型性肺炎的，当然如果问听说过SARS没有，那倒是没几个知道。西方的传媒对中国一直就是这样的，不要太计较或者大惊小怪了，别听就是了，西方恶骂中国几十年了，中国还不是过得好好的？习惯就好了。

it's not surprising that the Chinese media have been ordered not to report on SARS. this is the fact and has been commented by several international newspapers, many of them neutral. so don't blame the international media, blame the Chinese government.

I dit not read National Post so I don't know about the artical. But I think the Chinese gov should responsible for the spread of the SARS.

I do not see anything wrong with the title of the article !
Just look at the news about AIDS in HeNan province, Chinese media were not allowed to report originally. I really do not see why the government cannot be frank and honest at first. It is not a shame to have patients with Aids, it is a shame to hide any truth.

From SARS incident in China, we will see if China pay much attention on media supervision later.

If this happened in west, all the main local government offcials will be dismissed or even sued.

It is the question of morality. CCP did lose face this time.

new development: Chinese government apologized today (friday) for slow responding to the outbreaks of SARS in China. amazing even die-hard CCP bends to international pressure. also WHO (world health organization) reported today a link of SARS in China to sexally transmitted diseases.

If China were democracized enough, your complain or concern could be expressed by sending Email/or by phone to Embassy or China Health Department, then some officials like here could listen and take actions.

Unfortunately, it looks like only international pressure can push Chinese government to speak out responsibily. It is really the sadness for us.

We love China, but we hate the way how its government treats own people. There are so many un-qualified officials in China.
