Anybody is using a tankless water heater at your house?

"Heat water only when needed and enjoy up to 40% energy savings and endless hot water throughout the home"

Is the above statement true?

Heat water only when needed, 是的不过有个十来秒的延迟，工作原理就是国内的天然气热水，10来秒的延迟也有破解办法，就是在热水器之前加一个小的tank water heater，不过基本没人这么做.
enjoy up to 40% energy savings, 这个要看机子，还要看你如何对比，不过会比普通的tank water heater省一些，因为不需要经常去加热水缸里的水。
endless hot water throughout the home,基本正确，不过如果2个水龙头都在用热水的话，很有可能会不够热，因为水管的流量就那么大，加热还需要时间。

另外有个问题就是tankless water heater的租金比普通的tank water heater贵

所有的加起来就是仁者见仁，智者见智了。

It depends

I have considered this option not too long after I moved into a new house. I have calculated the worst case in winter where most temperature raise of the water is required. Most house-hold tankless water heater do not have the capacity or power to provide the warm water needed for a house of 3-4 in the cold days (for continuously showing, not to mention the washer which you may need warm water to clean for some materials). If you have a large family, tankless water heater is probably not a good choice because of the on-demand heating, while it is good for a house-hold of a single or a couple who requires minimum use of warm water.

I don't about the new equipment available now, but you understand what you need to look for.

If you want to buy it, I think purchasing rather than renting is more economical in the long term.
