Subaru:
1. 100 % Made in Japan
2. AWD is standard (CRV or RAV means additional 2000)
3. 2.5 L vs 2.4 L (more power)
4. 24/7 road side assitance (which is free, i.e. don't need to join CAA)
But parts are more expensive (Toyota and Honda have a lot of after market, which is cheaper).
I don't like the panel color (orange??)
Finance and Lease rates are higher (Toyota and Mazda have some models with ZERO percent finance....)
If you pay cash, Forrester is relatively much cheaper (if you add AWD etc to CRV or RAV 4 and other options) since quite a number of features are standard.
Picking a car is very personal.
In the long run, think about maintenance cost (which Japanese cars excel in this area, and Honda has the highest rating, Subaru is third.
