i have the same problem as u, the miss fire from the computer scanning my engine. My bodyshop told me to change 4 ignition plugs, igntion wire, and ignition coil. I haven't done it yet, it costs too much
To proper diag mis-fire, read the code to determine which cylinder is mis-firing. If multiple cylinder is mis-firing, you should swap spark plugs, and wiring(ignition coils). ie, fault code, mis-fire cylinder 2 and cylinder 3 - swap ignition coil /wiring from cylinder 1 to cylinder2 and swap ignition coils / wiring from cylinder 3 to cylinder 4, reset code, re-test to see if fault code has changed to mis-fire cylinder 1 and cylinder 4.
If the above diag procedure did not determine cause of mis-firing, ignition wiring/gound should be pin checked. Pin check is time consuming and difficult, you should get a certified technician to perform.
You could ask the emission test facility to repair for you, if after repair, the re-test still failed. You could still get a conditional pass.
