Is it normal Enbridge charge new customer a cash deposit $250 and new account fee $25?

yes, I think so. The deposit will return to you a year after.

噢，我的帐户从一开始就是PAR了，但押金还是一年后才退的，唉~~~
希望现在政策变了。

还有，不知道楼主是否在BBB（BUDGET BILLING PLAN）上？
看看是否合理，因为我家是新房，他们就按建房时的使用量来收费，结果大半年下来，在他们手上的钱足够抵一年的费用了。

没设PAP，1年多了也没退deposit，搬进去的第一件事情就是把BBB给去了。

刚搬进来的时候也是那个balance的program
然后给他们打电话，说让他们直接从银行取钱，取消那个balance program
记得是从网上下载了一个表格然后填好，把银行信息填上就可以了
Deposit和那个balance的钱都给改了

Enbridge told me after 2 years they will refund my deposit. But if I have credit reference from my previous gas company they will waive the $250, which i did get one and get my $250 waived.
