Police arrested a second suspect in connection with the break and enter that led to a police shooting in Gatineau on Thursday. Quebec provincial police spokesman Sgt. Claude Denis said police apprehended a 35-year-old man in the Outaouais area a short distance from Gatineau. He was scheduled to appear in court to face charges of vehicle theft and breaking and entering. The other suspect, a 26-yearold man, is still recovering in hospital with gunshot wounds. Police shot and seriously injured the man as he fled the scene of a break and enter in a stolen Chrysler Intrepid at 195 De La Savane St. at about 1: 15 a.m. Thursday. Police later responded to a 911 call for an injured man at De La Cité Boulevard and Carrefour Boulevard. On arrival, they found the car in a field near the road and the seriously injured man nearby. Denis said the man's life is not in danger and he will face charges when he has recovered. This was the second time in a month Gatineau police have fired a gun during a call. On Aug. 17, police opened fire on a vehicle that attempted to run down an officer after a shooting at a strip club.
