A 17-year-old girl was assaulted near a Barrhaven high school Monday morning, police say.
The girl was walking on Malvern Drive near John McCrae Secondary School around 9:20 a.m. when she was approached from behind by an unknown man.
The man grabbed the girl’s jacket, but she managed to free herself and ran to the school.
The Ottawa police sexual assault and child abuse section is investigating, but police say they have not confirmed the girl was sexually assaulted.
