:cool::p

明白人:p:cool::cool:

For the past 20+ years I have not used salt on my driveway. I would use sand instead if there was a need. Why pollute the environment?
But then I never use a snowblower either even though I have a pretty long driveway. I figure by the time I cannot handle the shoveling, I will move to a condo.

Sometime ice will be built up on your steps and driveway and using ice melting salt is to prevent someone get hurt falling due to the slippery ice. it's home owner's liability to make sure it's safe on your driveway.
