A young Ottawa man was shot and killed early Sunday in the Barrhaven area of the city.
Police were called to the area in southwest Ottawa at about 1:15 a.m.
They found the 34-year-old man on Charleston Street, suffering more than one gunshot wound, police said in a news release. He was taken to the Ottawa Hospital, where he died.
It was Ottawa's 10th homicide this year. Police haven't arrested anyone but have cordoned off part of the residential street where the victim was found.
His name wasn't released.
