A couple and their five-year-old child were taken to hospital and will be displaced from their Barrhaven home after a fire broke out in an eight-unit row house early Friday morning. Firefighters got the call at about 12:45 a.m. and rushed to 267 Thistledown Crt. off Greenbank Road. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from one of the eight, two-storey units. It had started in the first-floor living room and had already made its way to the second floor.
