我的英法双语背景的同事的启示

我的理解是，听说没问题，不等于语文好。让孩子考下SAT,就能知道英文读写水平了。

神马80%，神马法语教学为主5年8年。太好笑了，一个F.I.教学模式都不了解的人在谈F.I.的利弊。

Read this please:

Grade 4 to 6 MFI students receive up to 80 per
cent of their instruction in French. Generally, all subjects,
with the exception of English Language Arts, are taught in
French. In grades 7 and 8, the program is up to 70 per cent
French and 30 per cent English instruction. h ere may be
small variations in percentages from school to school
depending upon particular timetables and staff expertise.

您以为French Immersion 以法语教学为主5年或者8年吗－－那我告诉你，事实上不是！Immersion是什么意思，跟core差比很大吧，学校网站上的介绍很难懂吗？或者说你需要链接吗？

因为我自已的中文写作就很差, 可我中国生, 中国长, 中国读完大学. 喜欢读小说, 史书. 可只感兴趣内容.

完全赞同。很多家长所说自己的孩子英语有多好，其实只是听说能力，对孩子的读写技能根本没有认真地比较。

还不是大家十传百百传千的传起来的，没见那么多anglophone们也报怨不会法语吗？

8年，是1-8； 5年，是4-8.

我本人作为EFI学生家长，我知道孩子在学校学什么比例是什么Instruction 用什么。


EFI, MFI, LFI没有哪个是8年的。
1-8是哪个项目？

我孩子也还小，但是确实看到过有F.I.背景的同事写的报告，也是有地方看着不像英语的语法，拼写错误也明显受到法语拼写的影响，所以顶一下楼主帖子。

如果希望让孩子学好英语读写还有中文的读写，F.I.真的不见得有益，甚至可能有害。
