精华 看上个房子，带个swimming pool

找房子可真难呀，总是多多少少有点毛病，看烦了。
又看了个房子，25年了，带个inground swimming pool. 我们没打算买带pool的，个人认为：
1）带pool肯定要贵；2）怕不安全，对小宝们。3）最多用3个月，维护工作量大，当然只是听说，所以想请高人给讲讲，

1， 冬天，夏天都需要什么样的maintainance，都涉及什么费用。
2， 安全问题都会有哪些？
3， 需要什么accessory?
4， etc。

还有个问题，自己开始没想到，使人家提醒了，门正对着楼梯，而且距离就一米左右，听说从风水学不好，都什么说道？

如果你自己喜欢游泳，而且小孩不大（最好不止一个）的话，而且不在乎每个星期两三个小时的时间。我非常建议有一个inground swimming pool，小孩子会有很多的FUN，你也会。

我们今年第一次开放inground swimming pool，在研究了一下网上资料后，我自己做了所有的事情，其实很简单。至于所有正常维护费用，我估计$400-$500 每年。(如果你要加热的话，那可能很贵，除非你装一个太阳能的，我正在考虑）

至于安全问题，"common sense" and basic prevention is the key. How many home pools in Ottawa? Did you hear such accident? Probably it is less risky than driving the car.

至于“accessory”, the previous owner should leave everthing to you and make sure they are listed in the contract. I did not buy anything after
we moved in.

It is hard to get the right opinion about pool from internet. The opinion is really depended on people's life style and life experience. If the people do not know and do not enjoy swimming, they are scared of the pool and do not like it of course.

Remember that you are going to live in the house and it is your life.

所言极是，跟其他比，安全问题最重要，谢谢提醒。seller 已经装了fence，我们看房时是锁上的，但是相比above,我也还是挺担心的，就像您说的。保险，这个也谢谢，没想到，看来我们也应问问保险费。

Inground pool应该有fence，不是院子的院墙，是房子和泳池之间要隔开，这和 Above ground pool 不同, 小孩子或者小狗小猫爬上1米多高的above ground pool墙有一定难度，但是in ground会失足滑下去，可太危险了。
这就是有pool的保险贵一些，虽然每月贵几块钱，但是房屋保险总值不大，增加的比例还是不小。当然你不报告保险公司就不会增保险费，但是出了事就麻烦。

Also, there is a lot of more fun from Inground pool than above ground pool. There is deep end and shallow end and jump board for Inground pool so that you can have some real fun. Above ground pool is just like a big water bowl, in my opinion. And above ground pool looks ugly, too. But it is much easier to move the above ground pool away in case that you do not want the pool anymore. This is the good side for the above ground pool.

Well. Again, I am sure all kids will enjoy the swiming pool. There is no question about that. Almost all kids who came to swim in our pool asked the parents question "can we have a pool in our backyard?". Another girl asked her parents " why did not we buy a house with the pool?" The real question is if you (the dad) enjoy the swimming pool or not. If you enjoy, all the related work are not a big deal. If you just want to let you kids happy, I think you should forget about the idea to have a swimming pool.

1. 国人enjoy outdoor activity 远不如西人。
2. 国人对孩子还是有点over protective一点. 和我们的传统教育有关。个人认为这个问题上如果真的喜欢，防护做到家就行。

We hired a professional worker to pump out the water to a certain level, clean the pool and then winterize the water pump and pipe, close the cover...

I was told that it is better to let a professional person to do this kind of the job so the swimming pool is insured through winter. If there is any leak after winter, that is covered by the person who did the close. I have 18 X 35 swimming pool. Let me know how you did close/open for your pool.

I am shocked to see the maps in this Orlens area. It looks half of the houses have the pool.
