谢谢大家的热心回复。 我刚开始的时候没有upgrade HRV. 就是说错过了upgrade 的机会。现在再upgrade HRV。 不但要交 around $2900, 最让我纠结的就是要多交 a late change fee of $250。 不知道房子建好后，能否再请人安装呢？是否会便宜点呢？

after closing, most likely you can only install simplified HRV system. definitely cheap than $3150.
and if you don't care about a dedicated or partial dedicated system, it's always smarter to install the HRV after closing, same thing as A/C (if units are not included in the agreement as bonus, of course

dedicated HRV 用的是多大功率的吹风扇？至少要500W吧？长期使用成本太高！
HRV 的功率 <= 100W, 天冷时有自动除冰功能。

困难的是我还没找到furnance 与 HRV 联合的 控制器。
所以往往是furnance 不转时 HRV在空转；
furnace 送风时 HRV 又在休息！

谁能解决这个问题？

actually most energy star/r2000 builder here installed partially dedicated HRV system. it has its own exhaust duct system but fresh air is still delivered by furnace. the HRV is still the same HRV, not a more powerful model. the air exchange rate is depending on the size of your house, if you have a big house, thus you need a powerful one to exchange more air in a certain time.

your question might not be a question for a HVAC contractor. Call someone they may be able to provide you free advice as far as i know, HRV can send a signal to furnace control board to let furnace start its fan.

夏天谁还用hrv，开窗最好。ottawa从没有空调开整天的日子。
hrv冬天最有用，暖气从早开到晚，早上起床开hrv1个小时换气。一开一关很方便。
至于erv，还没机会尝试。

hrv1个小时换气...不够吧....一小时才能换多少升?...我家是一直开着,开春后直接关HRV+温控调到制冷......

理论上应该常开，但我嫌她声音太大，而且很耗电啊。
省钱，只能少开点。
不过，外国人比咱国人娇贵。一年四季，不开窗，就空调，暖气轮流转得不少啊。所以，他们的标准定的很高，是事实。

考虑到价格和HRV本身的使用局限性, 加上未来要装大功率抽油烟机，我就没有选HRV。要省钱，这个东西以后装也是可以的。如果会drywall work甚至可以上dedicated系统。

阿土自己换了个altitude控制器，定时换气，定量换气，有人时才换气，后半夜不换气 。。。空调启动时用内循环，暖风启动时用外循环 。。。嘿嘿！

氡气聚集在地下室,量的多少和地理位置有关系。HRV虽然装在地下室，但是不和地下室直接联通。

basement has cold air return and exhaust inlet (if dedicated system), hrv will also exchange staled air in basement with fresh air from outside of the house. so theoretically it's do some level good to radon issue. to cure the radon issue, i guess you have to seal the basement floor/foundation to prevent the gas leaking into your basement

阿土的不是dedicated HRV，但在地下室却有不少进气和排气口。seal basement floor与换气相比，可能换气来得容易。
