Ottawa’s emergency services were kept busy on Canada Day in both the patriot-packed downtown core and beyond. Ottawa Police reported nine arrests related to Canada Day festivities, none of which resulted in criminal charges. Drinking in public and disorderly behaviour usually results in an arrest and a ticket on the spot, police said.
