Elementary school teachers in Ottawa have given their union an overwhelmingly strong strike mandate, the latest sign that anger over the province’s legislated contract is far from subsiding. The Ottawa-Carleton Elementary Teachers’ Federation says 97 per cent of ballots cast Monday night at the CE Centre supported the strike mandate.
