From OttawaCitizen:
Mechal Affat, 34, a witness to the accident, said the three were had almost completed crossing Tallwood Drive when they were hit by a navy blue Chevrolet pickup truck that had turned left off Centrepointe.
Affat said the truck turned as the yellow light was turning to red and “slammed into” the three. Affat said he immediately ran to pick up the baby who was thrown from her stroller and was “wailing.” The man and woman were lying on the ground, said Affat.

A baby is lucky to be alive after a couple walking a stroller was mowed down by a vehicle in West Ottawa Wednesday.
While the two adults — believed to be the baby's grandparents — were seriously injured, the child escaped the crash with only scrapes and bruises.
Paramedic spokesperson JP Trottier said the story could have turned out differently were it not for the actions of one of the adults, who is believed to moved the stroller out of the way in the nick of time.
That split second decision, said Trottier, could have meant the "the difference between life and death."
"One of the pedestrians may have have pulled the stroller away from the point of impact," Trottier said.
"As far as we know, the stroller may not have been hit at all."
