Lightning strikes home in south Ottawa, causes $30,000 in damages

A home in south Ottawa was struck by lightning late Sunday evening, causing an estimated $30,000 in damages. Ottawa Fire arrived at the home at 275 Black Sage Crescent around 10 p.m. The siding of the house was on fire and open flames were reported in the walls of the home’s second storey.
