加东北旅游正式详细计划和费用估算, 望有意者同行(updated info)[必看]

现有5人打算租MiniVan一辆进行下述将令参与者一生难忘的精彩旅行。诚邀一人加盟，如有更多的朋友愿意前往，也没有问题，就是多租一辆车了。(若有8人,可考虑租两辆FullSize)

更新: 又有一人加入了我们，所以现在一共有六个人。我们已经很满意现在的组合，当然如果还有人愿意参加，我们可以考虑租两辆Fullsize

以下是详细的计划和费用估算，具体情况可能到时会有些许变化。

时间: 8天从7月29日至8月5日
目的地： Newfoundland
途经的风景点：NovaScotia 的 Cabot Trail
PEI （回程）

行程安排：
7月29日：
凌晨6～7点出发，经过1400公里后到达NovaScotia的Mulgrave者 Port Hawksbury（两地只隔一桥） ，在该地找Motel过夜。

7月30日：
凌晨起床前往CabotTrail，预计8点到达。然后在该处游览一天，于当天晚上到达North Sydney，乘Overnight的Ship至Newfoundland

7月31日：
凌晨到达Newfoundland西南角的Port Aux Basques，并开始当天的旅行。先至Deer Lake，然后去Gros Morne National Park，两地可能花费一天半。

8月1日：
中午到达Grand－Falls并开始在该处游玩，下午出发前往BonaVista，或直接前往St. John's（如果Bonavista is not such a good place且时间允许的话）。预计8月1日晚在St. John's度过。

8月1日：
在当地游览一些古迹和人文景观，参加冰山之旅。这一部分还没有完全确定，但会有两天左右

预计 8月3日：
日间开始回程并并一路游览一些错过的景点。
晚间回到Port Aux Basques。这里有两种选择：一是直接坐Overnight船到PEI 的Charlottetown（目前还没有找到相关资料，继续寻找中）；二是坐Overnight的船回到North Sydney，然后开往PEI。

预计 8月4日：
在PEI玩一天并在Charlottetown过夜.

预计 8月5日：
凌晨出发往回赶了。驱车经过雄伟的跨海大桥（连接PEI和NS，据说有18KM长，未考证. 经考证后真实长度为12公里,呵呵），如果时间合适的话，可以在桥上看到壮观的海上日出。晚间回到Ottawa，太累了，呵呵，但是收获丰富哦！

下面是费用估算：
租车(MiniVan)： 8天 $350 +/- $25
汽油（12KM／Litre）：$250 +/- $25 以往返4500公里，油价$0.68/Litre计算
汽车渡海(往返NL和NS):$150 Roundtrip

如果人多，住宿上也许可以在少些，再看看坐船有没有Group Discount。租车和汽油是少不了的哦！若有8人,可考虑租两辆Fullsize, 每辆是$300/8天Including Tax, 费用可能会低些.




整整8天的时间，其实还不是很够，但已经能是我们受益匪浅了：绮丽壮观的自然风景、令人遐想万千的历史遗迹、美味无穷的海鲜大餐，当然还有结伴同游的甘苦与共！加入我们吧，给你的这个夏天增添一道永不褪却的绚丽色彩！

Budget is $399.95/week with unlimited mileage, for 8days, they can do $450, insurance will be waived by Platinum card.

I'll spend about 11 days, and the total cost from Budget is a little over $1000. Yes, we can decline the insurance and using the insurance from VISA. That would save me over $200.
But the insurance from VISA just cover the rented Car only. does anybody know how to deal with the third party insurance?
I also called CAA and the rate is pretty much the same.

the 3nd part insurance, which is called liability is inclued in the car rent fee. You don't need to worry about that part of issurance.

I just find another way:

Call car rental agent: 521-3751. You will get best price in Ottawa area. My friends just call them to book a mid-size car, two week, CND$ 417( after tax, no insurance).
