A cyclist is in serious but stable condition in hospital after being struck by a car Saturday.
First responders were called to the intersection of Terry Fox and Richardson Side Road shortly before 10 a.m. where they found a 66-year-old cyclist who had suffered “multiple orthopedic and soft tissue injuries” after being struck by a car.
Ottawa paramedics say the victim’s helmet prevented more serious injuries.
Paramedics stabilized the victim with advanced life support procedures and he was transported to hospital.
