Two buildings evacuated after gas leak downtown

At least two buildings in the Rideau Street and Cumberland Street area were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a gas leak, according to Ottawa Fire Services.

As of 5 p.m., the gas leak had been capped and it was expected that residents would soon be allowed to re-enter the buildings. Enbridge Gas had been called to the scene.
