An Ottawa-bound Via Rail train struck and killed a pedestrian on the west end of Montreal Island Thursday morning.
According to reports, Train #33 struck a trespasser on the tracks in Beaconsfield at about 9:30 a.m.
There were 119 passengers and an unknown number of crew aboard the train, but there were no reports of injuries.
The incident caused some delays on the busy route, but all trains are expected to be up and running by noon.
