A man described by rescue workers as elderly suffered cuts and a possible leg fracture when he was struck by a school bus Friday in Ottawa’s New Edinburgh neighbourhood.
Firefighters say the man’s leg was pinned between the bumper and engine compartment of the bus when they arrived at Beechwood Avenue and Springfield Road shortly before 4 p.m. They freed the man, who was taken to hospital by paramedics. No one on the bus was injured.
Ottawa police are investigating.
