A 17-year-old girl has died of injuries she received in a Saturday night car crash north of Montebello that also claimed the life of an 18-year-old boy.
The Sûreté du Québec has not released the name of the girl. The male victim has been identified as Samuel Cantin, of Lac-des-Plages, about 45 minutes north of Montebello.
Police say the pair were in the backseat of a car that swerved to avoid a deer on Highway 323 at Lac-Des-Plages and crashed into a ditch.
The driver of the car and another youth in the front seat, both 17 years old, were not seriously injured in the crash.
