The OPP has identified a man who died in head-on collision between his Mini Cooper and a tanker truck in North Dundas Township Tuesday.

Police say township man Neville Vincent, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are still investigating why Vincent’s southbound car crossed into the northbound lane on County Road 31, colliding with an International milk tanker north of Winchester Springs.

The 44-year-old truck driver from Valleyfield, Quebec was not hurt in the crash, which happened just before 1 p.m.

A section of County Road 31 between Nesbitt Road and Hollister Road was closed to traffic Tuesday afternoon as members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry OPP investigated with the help of the force’s technical traffic collision investigators and a crash reconstructionist.

The road reopened early Wednesday.
