Two men were arrested and a more than 300 marijuana plants weree seized following a raid in Gatineau on Wednesday.
Police said a search warrant was executed at 191 Proulx Path in Gatineau on Wednesday at around 10:30 a.m and police found the marijuana and growing equipment.
The electrical system in the house was rigged to bypass Hydro-Québec meters, to hinder detection of use of suspicious amounts of electricity in the operation.
Two Gatineau men, 47 and 57 years old, were arrested at the scene. Police are not releasing their identities.
In all, police seized 313 cannabis plants, 38 grams of marijuana in bulk and more than $60,000 of greenhouse equipment.
The two men are facing charges related to possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. They were both released from police custody with promises to appear and will appear in court at a later date.
