Hydro One teams continue Wednesday morning to try to re-establish power in a large area to the west of the capital, where about 15,500 are without power.
The power went out early Wednesday in a large swath stretching roughly from the edge of Carleton Place, west through Smiths Falls and Perth, and south to Lake Ontario.
Hydro One hopes to have power restored by 10 a.m.
