Ontario Provincial Police in Renfrew say an investigation has established that a reported attempt to lure a child into a van in Calabogie did not happen.
Police had reported they were looking for a suspect who allegedly tried to lure a 12-year-old boy on Mill Street on Aug. 29 in the town 100 kilometres from Ottawa.
“After a thorough investigation police have determined the incident did not happen,” OPP said in a release.
“The investigation has now concluded.”
