A 24-year-old Aylmer man at the centre of a month-long police investigation into the production of child pornography, has been charged and released on his own recognizance pending trial.
Christian Levesque briefly appeared in a Gatineau courtroom on Wednesday n charges of making and having access to child pornography.
Gatineau police confirmed Thursday that Levesque has been released from custody while awaiting trial.
Levesque was arrested Wednesday morning after heavily armed police and technical services officers, armed with a warrant, raided a home at 41 Brook St. in a quiet Aylmer neighbourhood.
There was no apparent resistance, and witnesses at the scene tweeted that technicians were seen taking materials, including computers, from the site.
