There were numerous activities across the city before it came time to get down to the serious business of trick or treating.
Howl for Halloween was held at the Ottawa Humane Society, there was another opportunity to meet some four-legged friends at Barnyard Halloween at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, and there was even the chance to get in a little exercise at the Momentum Moves Pumpkin Bootcamp at Lansdowne Park.

One-year-old Liam McCurry checks out his aunt working out during Momentum Moves Pumpkin Bootcamp at Lansdowne Park.

Four-year-old Aiden Burlock decorates a yummy cupcake dressed as the Hamburglar during the Howl for Halloween event.

Seven-year-old Braelyn Varo, dressed as a pirate, paints during Howl for Halloween.

Six-year-old Dahlia Lloyd-Kohls gets her face painted to top off her hippie costume during the Howl for Halloween at the Ottawa Humane Society.

Four-year-old Emma Sanchez and her brother, two-year-old Brady, push their mom, Carli Grady, during her workout with Momentum Moves Pumpkin Bootcamp at Lansdowne Park.

Five-year-old Benjamin Beznoski and his sister, two-year-old Samantha, dressed up in Halloween costumes for the Barnyard Halloween at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum.
