据Metro News 报道 渥太华市长Jim Watson希望能与中国各相关部门沟通， 推动渥太华至北京的直飞航线，如能成功这将为渥太华带来大批中国游客，并方便渥太华华人返乡探亲。 从2005年到2014年，每年游览渥太华的中国游客从11万增长至45万，如果这个数字继续增长， 将会对各航空公司开辟这条新航线更有吸引力。 但是市长说，直飞计划很可能不会在2017年前达成，但有可能在5-10年内实现。

It’s an issue that has cropped up during his economic mission with a group of Ottawa business delegates to China’s capital this week.
In May, Air Canada announced a revenue-sharing deal with Air China to fly directly from Montreal to Beijing. While this has helped bring Chinese tourists to the nation’s capital, Ottawa could benefit from a direct flight route, said Watson.
