A Cantley man seemed to go out of his way to establish he was incapacitated Tuesday night when he passed an MRC des Collines patrol car on a double line on Mont-Cascades Road in the freezing rain shortly after 10 p.m.

The man, 58, was quickly pulled over and failed a sobriety test. His license was automatically suspended for 90 days.

It was the second arrest for drunk driving in the Gatineau community Tuesday night.

At about 9:30 p.m. a Gatineau man, 57, was involved in a crash on Donaldson Road in l’Ange Gardien.

The man failed the field-sobriety test and his licence was pulled for 90 days. There were no injuries reported in the crash.

Both men, whose identities were not released, are scheduled to appear in court March 3.
