It's easy for people to stand in judgement when the issue others are facing is not their own. There is more to this story than this article.
They were coming to a new country very different from their own. They had to find work so they could support themselves before sending for their little boy.
They left the baby with family members where he would be cared for while they ltried to settle here.
They are hard working people who did not place a burden on the welfare system.
Never judge until you've walked a mile in someone else's shoes.

What kind of parents would immigrate and leave their son behind. The child would have been one year old when the parents abandoned him. Class people. Throw them out of Canada.

they haven't done anything that would justify throwing them out. But yes, one does have to wonder why they didn't identify the child on their original applications, and why they came here without him. He's lived with his grandparents his entire life, not with his parents. He's better off where he is. if they miss him so much, they could go home.

Agreed. One of them could have returned home to look after the child. I can't imagine why they'd leave him behind.

Rick, you will be surprised at how many people have to sacrifice their families for a better life. Not everyone undertand the complicated forms they need to fill so they rely on others and they are ill advise. They made a mistake and a bad choice, why should the child be punished for life? If they go back they will have nothing, if they leave their chld behind, they will have nothing...

Does everybody expect Trudeau to change every decision made by the previous government? Do they not remember that the previous government was a majority? If the message was no previously it should remain no imho.

It wasn't the government which made the decision. The rules were applied to this situation and that's how it turned out.

there's a reason governments aren't run based off fee fees.
