Ottawa firefighters were kept busy overnight on Sunday through Monday with three blazes — including one in a Nepean bar and grill — in the span of four hours.
Ottawa Fire Services first responded at 11:50 p.m. on Sunday to a second-alarm fire on 1000 Belfast Rd. Fire services said the source of the blaze was initially difficult to determine, but was eventually located and quelled at 12:17 a.m.
Three hours later at 3:06 a.m., firefighters were called to another second-alarm fire, this time in a four-row housing unit on 2570 Southvale Cres. It was declared under control at 3:24 a.m.
Firefighters then received a call at 3:38 a.m. for a third fire on 3094 Carling Ave., the location of Time Out Bar & Grill near Bayshore Drive, after Ottawa Police Service already on scene reported smoke coming from the building. The last working crew cleared at 5:44 a.m., said a fire department spokeswoman.
No injuries were reported in any of the fires.
