improved version
Dear President:
This appealing letter is for the issue of improvement of English version website of our university.
As, we all know UQO is a famous French-speaking based University, but it has some graduate programs: MPM, MBA, CMA etc., which are also taught in English, and these programs have grown rapidly in recent years, more and more non-French speaking students and/or prospective students are attracted, in this program, the enrollment from students outside Quebec is becoming larger and larger, these students are eager for some special service for them. One of the most important services is the website of our university because from this website students can get a lot of information they need.
But the main contents and resources of UQO's website are provided by French and most of us have not yet gotten enough language skill to utilize them efficiently and individually .This problem brings big trouble to us not only during our application period, but especially after we have enrolled. We do believe that, to some extend, this inconvenience serious lower our studying quality which has already been experienced by many senior students.
And we have also found this inconvenience exists in the faculty of our university, they are busy to inform and explain all kinds of information to unfamiliar non-French speaking students like us, which increase the workload and lower the working efficiency of them. If there has enough information on the English version of website, we don’t need to ask for explanations from them all the time.
Furthermore, a well-informed English version of the website can increase the image and reputation of our university Pan-Americanly and also internationally. And large enrollment also can attract more subsidies and funding from governments and large companies. Let our university becomes a well-know one in the world!
So, here we strongly suggest that UQO provide a better English version of the website. We really appreciate your attention on this issue.
Yours faithfully!
Students.
