A Gatineau motel has been evacuated and Gréber Boulevard partially-closed as police investigate threats made overnight.
Spokesperson Mariane Leduc said the police received a call just after 1 a.m. by someone in distress who made threatening comments.
Leduc would not reveal the nature of the threats, but did say it was not a hostage situation.
Police evacuated the Motel Montcalm at 175 Gréber Blvd, but did not say how many occupants were moved.
As of 7 a.m., police were still on the scene and had not yet identified any threats to the public. No injuries were reported.
Gréber Boulevard was closed in both directions between Louis-Riel and de la Savane roads. Louis-Riel Road remained open to traffic. It was unknown when it may re-open.
