Ottawa fire crews were quick to douse a two-alarm blaze at an industrial waste handling facility in the Hunt Club Road area Saturday afternoon.
Ottawa Fire Services received a call just after 12:30 p.m. for a report of multiple vehicles and storage containers on fire at a commercial building on 2705 Stevenage Dr., the address of Drain-All Ltd.
A working fire was declared en route, and a second-alarm was requested shortly after fire crews arrived on scene.
Fire services tweeted that the flames were under control a short while later, at around 1 p.m. A hazardous materials response unit was on scene “due to the nature of the materials on site,” said a release.
No cause has yet been determined and no other information was available.
