I'm a student at UOttawa, and my major is Finance in telfer. At first, I couldn't understand what my professors and Canadian classmates were talking about.
After taking classes at SBSP
(which is a professional ESL school) for 3 months, I began to understand more. Now, I am able to communicate with my peers and understand all the professors at the university. I came to Canada from China to learn English and do my undergraduate study. After studying at SBSP, I feel better about self and more confident when speaking and writing.
All these positive results were accomplished because I have been taking pronunciation, conversation and CNN classes.
I definitely recommend my teacher Greg, if you would like to improve your English skills
before taking classes at a Canadian university.
For many Chinese people as myself, I think English pronunciation is very difficult. Trust me, my teacher Greg knows how to fix it. SBSP should definitely be your first step in Canada. 我是渥太华大学的一名学生，来渥太华马上两年了，从刚开始的上课一头雾水到现在的可以理解，虽说不能完全掌握英语但毕竟也学会了不少，多亏了SBSP，我仅在那里学了3个月，感觉确实很有效果（在国内我连音标都没有学过）SBSP有语法课，音标课，对话课以及CNN课，老师Greg也很耐心，专业！小伙伴们如果有想要通过上ESL来提高自己英语能力的就别再犹豫了，渥太华首选Step by Step Proficiency!!!
