A man was in stable condition after being treated for electric shock at a construction site on Albert and Scott streets Thursday.
The 34-year-old male, whose leg came into contact with a wire, was hauled out of the underground tunnel he was in by a construction emergency team.
He was conscious when paramedics arrived although he “may have been unconscious for several seconds” right after the initial shock, said spokesman J.P. Trottier.
“That’s a concern for the patient,” said Trottier. “It’s indicative of how big of a jolt he may have received. But when we assessed him, he was stable, talking and alert with no signs of burns which is a good sign.”
The man was transported to hospital in stable condition.
Paramedics did not know which construction company was involved.
