Several homes near Perkins and Albert streets in LeBreton Flats were evacuated Wednesday morning after a contractor dug and hit a gas main.
Ottawa Fire’s Danielle Cardinal said there was no damage to the homes, and a single fire truck was standing by as a precaution while Enbridge Gas sent a crew to shut off the gas.
She called the leak “minor” and said residents would soon be allowed back indoors.
