Gatineau police have opened a criminal investigation into an apartment building fire that drew both Ottawa and Gatineau fire crews on Thursday.
“There are no arrests for the moment,” police announced Friday afternoon.
The fire in Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard in Gatineau’s Hull sector began in the top storey of a four-storey apartment building and spread. Ottawa sent six trucks with crews under a mutual-assistance agreement.
The fire closed down Cité-des-Jeunes between Riel Boulevard and Talbot Street.
