A man who was arrested following a devastating fire at a Gatineau apartment building last Thursday has been released without any charges laid, police said Monday.
The serious blaze drew firefighters from Ottawa and Gatineau together to bring it under control after flames were seen shooting from the top of a four-storey building at 420 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd. in Gatineau’s Hull sector.
No serious injuries were reported, but several people were displaced.
Police said officers were no longer at the scene, but the investigation is ongoing.
