Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in tracking down a suspect in two break-ins at an LCBO outlet in Vanier.
The first break-in occurred Aug. 31 at about 3:20 a.m. when a suspect broke into the outlet on the 200 block of Montreal Road. About two weeks later, on Sept. 12, at 4:10 a.m., the same suspect broke in again.
Police said the suspect “fled with items” in both break-ins.
The suspect is described as being a short Caucasian man with a heavy build, in his mid-30s to 40s, with dark hair and a beard.
Anyone with information on the break-ins is asked to call Ottawa police break and enter unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 4533 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.
