关于新房贷政策: 一个问题和一堆澄清

I don't understand why gov needs to protect the lenders? they wanna make money without taking risk?

I thought it's the buyers that are vulnerable and need to protect.

why big financial institutions make money and average Canadians, not just the buyers bear the cost?

不protect lenders,你现在的贷款利率就不会这么低,会像美国一样,30年贷款利率一直是5-7%。而且银行会有许多限制对不同地区,不同年龄,不同职业。而有了违约保险,银行只要按政策作,风险都由保险公司承担。所以变相对借款人有利。

造孽呀。利率低就造成房市这么变态的高的根源。贷款利率根本就不应该这么低。

After Nov 30, no Matter How much downpay, all borrowers will have stress test rate at 4.64% to be qualified
 
If failed, or increased down pay, or reduce the purchase price. And some lenders will not take self employed state income application. ( stated income means, customer has business with high business revenue , but claim small personal income )
